Living with low self-esteem can potentially harm your mental health.
It may be something you have learnt and lived with since childhood, or perhaps a serious illness or difficult life event may have seriously knocked your personal confidence.
Whatever your circumstances, you can obtain and learn to have a healthy self-esteem by taking the time to identify the negative thoughts that plague you, and challenge them.
Learning to improve your ways of thinking about yourself does take time, but by being kind to yourself, recognising and identifying positive personal thoughts, and growing your confidence, it can help to counteract the unhelpful ways of thinking you have learned to live with.
